Well, hello! My name is Delina Patrice Brooks, an award-winning, San Francisco/Oakland-bred creative producer, cultural strategist, and multi-hyphenate artist working at the intersection of performance, storytelling, and community.

Early in my artistic journey, songwriting and recording led me to working with the late, great Shock G of Digital Underground, who gave me the nickname “DelinaDream” - and it just kinda stuck!

In 2006, I founded DelinaDream Productions, where I write and produce plays, screenplays, and music centered on troubled women who save themselves. My performance work, grounded in years of African diasporic dance forms, has taken me across the U.S., Western Europe, West Africa, and the Philippines, as well as into television and film.

As a co-founder and creative force behind Saltwater Frequency, I develop and produce film projects that explore culturally rooted stories with global reach—often blending movement, ritual, and narrative cinema. My experience in the TV and film industry spans on-screen and behind-the-scenes roles, deepening my fluency in production, collaboration, and the translation of story across mediums.

Alongside my creative practice, I’ve built a strong executive and leadership portfolio within the arts sector. I have held senior roles in marketing, communications, and organizational strategy, including serving as Marketing & Communications Director at Zaccho Dance Theatre and in a leadership capacity with the San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF). In these roles, I’ve led audience development initiatives, shaped institutional narratives, secured and managed funding, and built partnerships that amplify culturally rooted, community-centered work.

If you’re interested in the deeper philosophies that guide my work, check out The 5-Point Compass Podcast, where I share practical, holistic tools for navigating creative practice, leadership, and life.

May we all move in our own light with courage, vitality, and ease,
